A massive thank you from Sir Jackie Stewart and all the Race against Dementia (RaD) team to all International 7 Network members from Kent Sevens, Lotus Drivers Club, and the MK Owners Club who in return for free admission to the Festival gave 2 hours of their time from to raise circa 195,000 GBP and awareness for the charity.
The feedback from Goodwood and from people around the site was very positive and the ongoing support that was generated for RAD, and the increase in awareness of the charity through visibility and the numerous conversations had with future supporters is immeasurable.
The total raised was from our collective efforts including a race simulator, collections, profits from signed merchandise.
Race against Dementia as a charity was formed following Sir Jackie Stewarts wife Lady Helen’s diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia, Sir Jackie was horrified that after more than 40 years of research there was still no prevention or cure for dementia. Something needed to change! The International 7 Network is proud to support this race for a cure.
If you would like to help raise money and awareness for the charity you can register with us as a volunteer to help at future events and/or purchase one of our car stickers to show support– contact ambassador@international7network.org for details.
